So, I ran into Sterling Spencer at the store today:
I’ve been doing some research on my favorite [lesser-known] Still Filthier and I stand by my prediction; his airs are completely mental. Check out the awesome photos on his new site, and while you’re at it, these Indo clips probably won’t bore you too much:
Dean Randazzo and friends raised $6,000 at last week’s 3rd Annual Freeze for a Cause. Soon after, Dean ditched the Jersey deluge in favor of the Sunshine State for SURF FEST 2010. On Saturday, the N.J. surf legend snagged 1st place in the Masters of Surfing Pro event at Sebastian Inlet. Congratulations, Dean!
Check out Jon Coen’s story on ESPN Surfing.
This is what the beach looked like today…
…hoping for better conditions (and visibility) mañana, though it does look all eerie and cool in the fog.
I think Marine Layer hit a new level of awesomeness yesterday when Dane Reynolds posted the following:
3 Easy Steps for Obtaining Charlie Brown’s Time Machine (My Van)
1. Be the FIRST one to SNAPPER HILL PARKING LOT
2. KEYS ARE INSIDE. HOP IN. Turn the key. Figure out the column shift.
3. Drive off like a BANDIT.
NO STRINGS ATTACHED
DRIVE SAFE
This was followed (20 minutes later) by a post stating that the van was taken, “Thanks for lookin.” An hour or so after that, an absurd video appeared of some guy scoping out the van and then, amazingly, driving it away! (albeit not like a bandit)
Okay, I’m warning you that it’s completely heart-wrenching, but The Cove is a movie that all “ocean-minded” people should see. The Oscar-nominated documentary tells the story of illegal and highly covered-up dolphin slaughter in Taiji, Japan. It’s truly disturbing, disgusting… and phenomenal.
Coming up: Dane, Bede, Kelly
Vodpod videos no longer available.
What’s on Fox News in Mankato, Minnesota? New Jersey kids surfing in the snow, apparently.
“Now that’s what I call die-hard surfing!” Ha. Check oot The New Surf’s cool snow photo.
