I’m a freelance surf and travel writer. I grew up in New Jersey and have been surfing for more than 20 years. My skill has improved shockingly little in those 20+ years. I am highly prone to wandering and at this very moment, I am probably drinking coffee or beer and “investing” what little fortune I have in plane and/or concert tickets. I have a master’s degree in magazine writing from New York University. I contribute to ESPN Surfing, Surfing, Transworld Surf, Surfing Life, Eastern Surf Magazine, The Inertia, and other fine surf media outlets.
